I’ve never heard of the Forecastle Festival. The Avett Bros. were there in ’09 along with Cage The Elephant. Looks like something worth attending.
Oh yeah, She & Him will be in Nashville on Sept. 1st, 2010. Someone make it to the show for me.

This video features Rain Phoenix singing. Rain is the sister of four siblings, some of whom you might have heard of:
brothers; River and Joaquin Phoenix and sisters; Summer and Liberty Phoenix. A little tidbit, when she was born her parents named her Rain Joan of Arc Bottom.
Also, check out darling Zooey Deschanel in the back, directly behind the singer. For a live performance, she can pull off provocative with hardly a trace of awkward.
Here’s Zooey taking center stage in, I believe, the same show and performance. Not as alluring as Rain’s performance, but with just as lovely as a voice as Rain’s, if not better. I personally believe Zooey’s voice is better, maybe an easier song to belt, but then again I’m already captivated by the delightful younger Deschanel . Who isn’t?

Until 30 seconds ago, I had no idea Karen Elson is the wife of Jack White(gold) and has been since 2005.
Third Man records has yet to post a bio about her. She is a bit of a beauty- a model from England. It’s not only her looks that are attractive about her, but also her acoustic strumming and vocals.
I visited her website karenelson.com and clicked on the bird named bio to find that her band’s arrangements feature “the virtuosic Jackson Smith on guitar, Elson’s Citizens Band co-hort Rachelle Garniez on accordion and vocals, The Dead Weather’s Jack Lawrence on bass, My Morning Jacket’s Carl Broemel on pedal steel and producer Jack White on drums”
Today the National League will attempt to break a streak of 13 years of not winning the All star game.
I have an idea as to why they haven’t won in 13 years. The DH position gives the American League an extra hitter’s postition to vote for. They have one more starting hitter to vote for. The National League’s DH spot is filled by other position players making it an inherent handicap against the team.
Why would Bud Selig make the All Star game worth so much- home field advantage in the World Series- when there is clearly a huge advantage for the American League team? Is he an American League fan himself?
Some may say, that such a question is ridiculous since he owns a National League team.
What an enchanting voice. It booms and I get goosebumps. I usually prefer barefoot hippie singers, but she’s good at moving around in those heels. i hope she doesn’t twirl til she falls off the stage. I think I would be crushed if she fell and I just heard her for the first time last night, thanks to Savannah for that.
The machine is the bands name. Apparently, it’s a beast. The guitar sounds from Rob Ackroyd are pretty good too. And is that a harp? yeah it’s played by Tom Monger whose fingers look talented.
Ranger she’s so beautiful. When I see her I get this feeling nay when I think about her body I can feel her flowing down my throat, down, inside me. she swirls. It’s my tongue, she knows just how to soothe with her pale and dark harmony streaming uninteruppted straight to my tummy.

Conan O’brien exceeded my expectations. I’m just wondering if anyone can tell me if he has performed live as a musician before? if so when and where?
Now about this Jack White Third Man Records. I just googled it because I had never heard of it before. Wikipedia said he founded the record label in ’01 and established its first physical location — a combination record store and headquarters for the label — in Nashville, Tennessee in March of ’09. His house as he called it, includes a recording studio, rehearsal stage, photo studio, and darkroom.
Some of the artists under his label include
The Dead Weather, Whirlwind Heat, Dan Sartain, and The Muldoons.

The Dutchess and The Duke headed back home. They had their last tour date with The New Pornographers and The Dodos on the 27th of June. The New Pornos and The Dodos will continue touring. On the 15th of July, Imaad Wasif will join them in Vancouver where Imaad was born.

It’s off of their 2nd album. I don’t think I ever heard their first album. I think they just got worse after The State.

What’s up with this one. As always, her voice is amazing, but this song sucks.
Now Stars is not one of the best like Red Hot chili Peppers or Muse or The mars volta etc., but Stars is a band worth blogging about and worth putting on Jimmy Fallon’s, David Letterman’s, Jay Leno’s or Craig Kilborn’s show . Unfortunately not everyone will hear their music unlike each of Miley Cyrus’ singles.
And when I say a band I mean Band not just one song. Every song I’ve heard from Stars is a good one.
